Back to Normal.

My friend Andy went back to Philadelphia yesterday after his 10 day stay with us. We are hoping to go over to see him either August or September for a week. I'm really looking forward to it. I have only been to the USA once before and that was three years ago. I went to Los Angeles to a Northern Soul week, that's where I met Andy. There were about forty acts on at the soul event, it was wonderful meeting the singers of whom I'd bought records by many years ago. I thought Los Angeles was great but one week isn't any where near enough. We also had a day trip to Las Vegas, Stuart won $250 on the roulette wheel. Stuart and I thinking of getting married in there at some stage. After a few enjoyable and hectic weeks it's back to reality!

What A Weekend!

Arrived back from the Prestatyn weekender yesterday afternoon. We all had a great time. There were five rooms to enjoy, all with different types of soul music. I spent most of my time in the modern and crossover rooms. The acts were absolutely brilliant. Friday night Melisa Morgan appeared in the modern room, what an exceptional voice! Saturday night there were four acts in the northern room. Morris Chestnut, Roy Roberts, Prince Philip Mitchell and Dee Dee Clarke. I enjoyed every minute they were all spectacular. I can't believe another weekender has come to an end. Anyway we have booked for next year already.

A Hectic Week!

Well another week begins. After getting up at 5.30am and taking my fiance' to work I'm back at the computer. This week is going to be really busy. Apart from my internet work I'm decorating, taking my dog Kyle for a walk, shopping and preparing for our weekend away at Prestatyn Northern and Modern Soul weekend. Our friend Andy is coming over from Philadelphia for the event and is staying with us for a few days after. I'm really looking forward to seeing him as it's a year since his last visit. Anyway I'd better get stated !
